Growing up I played competitive sports, spending countless hours swimming laps in our local pool. Experiencing a nurturing and supportive culture while pursuing my passion for sports during my formative years brought out the best in me. And it is this that has made me deeply passionate about creating a salon that reflects the growth and flourishing that comes from being immersed in a safe, loving, and challenging environment.
Although I never quite made it in the sporting realm, when I started hairdressing I felt like everything just clicked. I had a strong sense I could be successful in this industry because of the love I had for making people feel good, combined with the principles of hard work, tenacity, and resilience instilled in me from my years in sport.
Throughout my 22 year career in the hairdressing industry I’ve had the privilege of travelling across Australia and beyond, sharing my knowledge and expertise with other hair salons and promoting best practices. But it was in the midst of the pandemic that I took a leap of faith to step out and build a salon of my own with purpose at its heart. Along with the support and encouragement of many amazing people in my life, Salon Purpose was launched in October in 2020.
My passion for excellent hair and my deep love for people drives me every day. Whether it’s our wonderful clients, my incredible staff, or the positive impact we make locally and internationally through our generosity initiatives, meaningful connections and wanting to be wherever people are is at the core of what I do.
At Salon Purpose, I aim to create a safe, loving, and nurturing environment that brings out the very best in each individual, helping them to live out their purpose and achieve success. It is my greatest desire to create more than just an incredible salon; it’s a place where purpose and positive impact comes to life.

As part of this, we proudly partner with Sustainable Salons - a social enterprise dedicated to helping salons reduce their impact on the planet and invest in local communities. For every client appointment, $3 is directed towards sustainability efforts.
At Salon Purpose, we are committed to delivering a high-end hair experience that doesn’t cost the earth.
Our general waste is 0%. At Salon Purpose, all salon waste is picked up on a fortnightly basis - diverted from landfill, and recycled and repurposed into projects for good.

Further examples of our green practices at Salon Purpose include eco-shower heads in our salon basins, efficient and environmentally friendly appliances, and floor to ceiling glass doors at our salon entry to allow maximum natural light into the salon and offering the benefit of exceptional ventilation and airflow - meaning we do not need to use excessive lighting, fans or air conditioning. As a salon, we are committed to, and well on the way to being as eco friendly as possible.
- 95% of our waste is diverted from landfill, recycled and repurposed into projects such as OzHarvest
- For every four clients receiving a full head of foils, enough profit is generated to provide a meal to someone in need
- All cut hair collected from our salon floor is recycled into hair blooms, which are used to soak up oil in the ocean
